Free Fire September 2022 Update: Know everything that will change
Fans and players should expect one of the biggest updates in Garena's Battle Royale history

Garena has strongly delivered consistent, high-quality updates to Free Fire , which have been pillars of the game's success in the competitive mobile gaming space. With the existing version of OB35 ending soon, players will be keeping an eye out for the upcoming OB36 update, which will bring some game-changing features.
Developers will deploy the update on September 21, 2022, but the notes for the new FF update have not yet been published. However, Free Fire Mania has had access to many previews and exclusively presents players with a clear picture of the content planned in the new update .

Contra Squad Mode on the New Earth map
NeXTerra is the latest map to be introduced to Free Fire with sophisticated mechanisms, including the anti- gravity zone and magic portals in specific areas. It was added with the previous OB35 update and in the next version of OB36 the map will also be available for the intense 4x4 Contra Squad game mode.
Weapon upgrade in the Contra Squad store
Contra Squad differs from the standard Battle Royale (BR) mode, in which players must use the money they receive after each round to buy weapons in the store.
To bring additional diversity and depth to the gameplay, the developers will introduce a new feature in the store that allows players to upgrade their weapons, similar to what is the case for armor (vest and helmet).
Season 15 rewards
Season 15 Free Fire in Contra Squad will start the day after the new update, i.e. September 22, 2022. As always, the developers have set a reward for the golden weapon skin for players who reach the Gold rank 3, i.e. XM8 Gold .

Garena will add new weapons with the release of the Free Fire September 2022 update , including the Laser treatment weapon and the new Corrosion Grenade.
Similar to other treatment weapons in the battle royale game, the first one will offer an opportunity to heal allies as well as damage opponents. The second novelty ( Corrosion Grenade ) will allow users to destroy Ice Walls more effectively.

Unlock permanent weapon skins
Weapon skins play an essential role in Free Fire , as their unique attributes allow players to easily defeat their opponents. However, most of the time, individuals only get trial skins that expire after a few days, leaving them completely disheartened.
Garena will deploy a new lifetime system in the new update to allow players to permanently own weapon skins. For each day the weapon skin expires, the player will gain 1% health progress. When this progress reaches 100%, they will have the skin permanently.
Change to the Revive System
After the new Free Fire September 2022 update , players will be revived at predetermined locations marked on the map at the start of each match. This will allow them to formulate a game plan before the match begins. These spawn points also have unique pillars next to them that will provide cover and feature light indicators, making it easier to follow the spawning process.
Team Bonus
The new Free Fire September 2022 update will also include a new team bonus system for players that will allow them to get additional character shards, Bond progress, and even friendship tokens that can be exchanged for exciting rewards.
Free Creation Workshop Card
However, starting with the Free Fire September 2022 update , users will receive a certain number of Free Crafting Workshop Card every week. This resets every week and cannot be carried forward. Additionally, if individuals run out of them, they can publish an exclusive map or complete a Crafting Workshop quest to earn them.
Instant feedback report
Finally, players can report community violations within a match or via the match details and history page. Following the Free Fire September 2022 update , individuals will now receive confirmation that their submitted report has been successfully received. Also, they will be informed when the cheating player is punished .

The next Free Fire update will take place on September 21, 2022 from 01:00 am, the game is expected to be offline for server maintenance until 10:00 am on the same day. Also, players should download the new version of the game from the official app stores: Google Play and Apple Store .
