Those who were still hoping for the return of Ouro Royale in Free Fire received a real cold shower this week. An official publication from Garena in Indonesia confirmed that the Gold Royale and Luck Royale systems will be removed globally starting June 24, 2026, the expected date for the OB54 update.
In practice, this indicates that the old Ouro Royale is not expected to return to the game, including in Brazil. Since March, Brazilian players have already been without the traditional menu following changes implemented by Garena on the national server.
Garena confirms the replacement of Ouro Royale in Free Fire
Official publication by Garena in Indonesia confirmed the end of Gold Royale and Luck Royale in Free Fire. The information appeared on Free Fire's official channels in Indonesia this week. In the images released by Garena, the game confirms that old vouchers will be automatically converted to a new system called Gold Vault.
According to the official publication, the change will take effect on June 24, 2026, along with the OB54 update.
The classic Ouro Royale system will be officially retired by Garena in the OB54 update of Free Fire.
The materials released show that:
- 1 Gold Vault Voucher = 1 Luck Royale Voucher
- 1 Gold Vault Voucher = 3 Ouro Royale Vouchers
- 1 Gold Vault Voucher = 1000 gold coins
Furthermore, Garena stated that old vouchers will be automatically converted after the update.
Brazil has been without Ouro Royale since March
In the Brazilian server, the traditional Royale menu was already removed on March 17, 2026. Since then, players have been using a different system based on direct ticket exchanges for rewards.
In practice, the old Ouro Royale stopped functioning normally in Brazil long before the global confirmation.
Instead of random spins, players began exchanging tickets directly for bundles and specific items within special Free Fire events.
The Brazilian server had already been using an alternative direct exchange system since March 2026. Many players believed that this change would be temporary and hoped for the return of Ouro Royale after the adjustments made by Garena in Brazil.
Now, with the official confirmation that the system will be removed globally, the chances of a return have practically vanished.
What changes for players?
According to Garena, the aim of the new Gold Vault is to unify the old systems in the game and simplify the vouchers used in Free Fire.
The company also stated that it will still be possible to earn free rewards using the new system.
In the official publication, Garena claimed that the change would be "just a name change," trying to reassure players concerned about the end of Ouro Royale.
Nevertheless, the community's reaction was mixed. Some players welcomed the idea of simplifying vouchers, while others lamented the end of one of Free Fire's most classic systems.
The end of an era in Free Fire
Ouro Royale has existed for years in Free Fire and has become one of the most recognizable menus in the game. Many players accumulated tickets for months to try to obtain rare skins and old bundles.
Therefore, the confirmation of its definitive removal has generated strong repercussions among veterans of the community.
The change is also part of a major overhaul of Free Fire’s interface planned for the OB54 update. In recent months, Garena has been removing old systems and reorganizing lobby menus.
Recently, Free Fire Mania also revealed details about the removal of the Evolution Trail in the OB54 update, indicating that Garena is preparing comprehensive changes to the game's structure.
Moreover, the community has already been observing changes in the events and rewards system since the introduction of the new direct exchange format in Brazil.
Gold Vault is set to replace the old system
Despite the end of the traditional Ouro Royale, the new Gold Vault is still expected to continue offering free rewards and events using vouchers.
The main difference is that the old tickets will cease to exist separately.
According to the official publication, players will be able to:
- Spend the old vouchers before the update;
- Or wait for the automatic conversion after the arrival of OB54.
Garena also informed that special events should assist in the conversion of excess vouchers post-update.
In the meantime, players are still waiting for new details about the complete operation of Gold Vault in Free Fire.
Those who still have stored tickets should keep an eye on the upcoming information regarding the OB54 update to understand how the conversion will be applied on each server.
While the update does not arrive, many players continue to use classic game resources, including active FF codes and adjustments to Free Fire sensitivity to enhance gameplay.
