Free Fire voted best game of 2021 on Google Play
This is the second consecutive award that Garena's Battle Royale has won, the previous one being the best mobile esports game of 2021.
Google Play's 2021 Best Game of the Year Popular Vote named Free Fire the " Best Game of 2021 " in its annual awards released this Monday (29). This is the second consecutive award in less than a month that Garena's Battle Royale has won, the previous one being the best mobile esports game of 2021 .
In his acceptance speech, Justin Lye, Garena's Global Esports Manager, shared that the team felt " honored " to have won the award and dedicated the victory to the global Free Fire community - its players, spectators and partners. Justin acknowledged the great work the team did to make the victory possible and said that winning this award gives them the confidence and motivation to do even better in 2022.

The victory builds on Free Fire's 2021 achievements, which include a new global esports record with more than 5.4 million simultaneous spectators in the Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore and becoming the first Battle Royale mobile game to reach 1 billion downloads from the Google Play Store .
