Those who played Free Fire in the last few days and noticed strange problems during matches can rest easy: Garena has already fixed the bugs that appeared with the arrival of the OB54 update, launched on June 24, 2026. The issues affected everything from character movement to footstep sounds, but none required downloading a new version from the app store.
The corrections were applied directly on the servers and are already in effect for all players, with no need for a manual update.
Which bugs were fixed
Free Fire Mania identified, based on official channels from Garena, that five problems reported by the community after OB54 have already been resolved:
- Bug that caused the player to sink into the ground and become stuck in the environment
- Bug of multiple safe zones (blue zone) appearing simultaneously on the map
- Sudden elimination upon entering the Kalahari river, without apparent cause
- Footstep sounds playing much louder than normal
- Character moving abnormally fast while shooting
What has changed for players now
As the fix was made server-side, players do not need to reinstall the game or look for a new version in the app store. Just enter a new match to already notice the difference, especially regarding footstep sounds and movement while shooting, two aspects that generated the most complaints among players in the first days of OB54.
Garena has fixed, via server, five gameplay bugs that emerged after the Free Fire OB54 update, launched on June 24, 2026, restoring normal behavior for movement, sound, and safe zone for all players.
What to still keep an eye on
Garena has not released a detailed technical changelog regarding these specific fixes, so any other strange behavior that still appears in matches should be reported through the game's official support channels.
To follow what changed in the update that caused these bugs, it's worth reviewing the complete coverage of OB54 and the Free Fire weekly calendar to not miss upcoming events.
