The Free Fire MAX India has begun to receive a series of safety and responsible gaming measures that, until now, have not been announced for Brazil or other servers. The news has drawn the attention of the Brazilian community because some of these features had already been found by dataminers in the Free Fire files. At that time, the resources were reported as possible global changes, but the official publications now indicate that they were mainly related to the operation of the game in India.

The official Free Fire account in India published a series of videos explaining the measures included in the Play It Right campaign. Each publication presents a different rule related to playtime, spending, and the protection of underage players.
The announced measures include:
- 3-hour daily limit for players under 18;
- 6-hour daily limit for players 18 years or older;
- Daily spending limit of ₹7,000 for players under 18;
- OTP verification with involvement from parents or guardians;
- Encouraging messages for breaks during matches;
- Campaign against toxicity and inappropriate behavior.
How will the playtime limit work?
According to the campaign presented by Garena India, players under 18 will be able to stay in Free Fire MAX for up to 3 hours per day. For adult users, the daily limit will be 6 hours.
The campaign's stated goal is to encourage breaks and avoid excessively long sessions. Garena uses messages like “every Booyah is better with a break” to present the measure in an educational way to players.
The company has not yet publicly detailed how specific situations will be handled, such as matches started just before the limit or possible grace periods. These details will need to be monitored after the full activation of the system.
Minors will have a daily limit for buying diamonds
Another rule announced by Free Fire MAX India establishes a daily cap of ₹7,000 for purchases made by players under 18. The converted amount may vary depending on exchange rates, but the rule will be applied in Indian rupees within the local operation.
The limit does not mean that minors will receive this amount or can spend it without authorization. It is a maximum cap set by the system, accompanied by additional verification and parental control mechanisms.
So far, no similar limit has been announced for the purchase of diamonds in Brazilian Free Fire.

OTP is the acronym in English for One-Time Password, a unique code sent to confirm a specific action. In the system presented by Garena India, players under 18 will need to undergo a verification linked to parents or guardians before accessing certain features.
The official publication states that the code will be used as a step of protection before the minor's participation. However, Garena has yet to disclose all the technical details, such as how often the confirmation will take place and which activities will require new authorization.
Did the Indian government force Garena to create these rules?
So far, there is no public confirmation that the Indian government specifically ordered Free Fire to adopt the exact limits of 3 hours, 6 hours, and ₹7,000. Therefore, it is incorrect to state that these numbers were imposed directly by a governmental decision.

Will the limitations come to Free Fire in Brazil?
