Garena Free Fire was released in 2017, and the game has seen impressive growth since then. The numbers were also impressive as the popular survival shooter hit the one billion installs mark on the Google Play Store last year.

The immense fame and love led the developers to introduce Free Fire MAX , an enhanced version of the original game. The MAX variant has also recorded over 100 million downloads on the Play Store, and the growth in numbers is not slowing down.

Despite the large user base, many cheaters are also present in the game. Some players use various types of hacks to gain unfair benefits on the battlefield. However, Garena 's anti-hack measures have led to thousands of account bans.

In addition, many other players do not use hacks on their devices, but team up with them to gain advantages on the battlefield. They team up in duos (DUO) or squad (Squad) matches and take advantage of illegal tools to climb through the ranks .

Now, Free Fire has updated its policy of consequences and will downgrade to Bronze rank (lowest in the game) all players who deliberately unite with cheaters. That is, even those players who do not use hacks will be penalized through their in-game patent.

It is worth remembering that if a player randomly plays games alongside a cheater, there will be no consequences, as the new one only punishes those users who play with hacks willingly.
