Free Fire will start 2022 weighing more than 3.5GB; 140 times bigger than the first version of 2017

Free Fire is a Battle Royale game from Garena , which became known around the world for being considered a light and easy application to run on most devices. Time passed and over four years, the game grew in numbers, mainly in the size of its APK , which multiplied 140 times .

The launch of " Garena Free Fire Battlegrounds " took place on December 4, 2017 and this first version weighed only 25 MB and supported Android 4.0 devices with less than 1 GB of RAM memory. Also, the game only supported 20 players online and the map only the current city of Hangar (with some modifications of course).

Then the game grew and added many new features, many of them at the request of the community itself. Furthermore, the appearance of new characters, weapons and especially character skins contributed to the increase in APK file size.
