Garena distributed more than 1 ton of Baklava to Free Fire players in Turkey during the Ramadan event. As the fans received the gifts, they rushed to tag the company on Instagram, this generated a video with the special production of the items and also with several people celebrating the receivable.
In general, Baklava is a type of pastry made with a paste of crushed walnuts, wrapped in filo dough and bathed in syrup or honey and very popular in Middle Eastern cuisine and very traditional in Turkey.
At first, the event took place within Free Fire, when players collected Tokens by playing matches and thus could exchange them for a box filled with Baklava received for free at their home. In addition to the event at stake, fans who follow on social media also got their gifts.
It is worth remembering that Ramadan or Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar (based on the cycles of the Moon). Muslims believe that in that month, in 610, Prophet Muhammad received the revelation of the word of Allah. So, as it is a holy month, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset.
After the fast, there is a celebration called “ Eid al-Fitr ”, something like a festival to break the fast, where Garena distributed Baklava sweets, well known in the region.
