Free Fire excludes emulator and shared accounts from ranking
Starting August 1st, Free Fire will remove players from the ranking who use emulators or shared accounts. Understand what changes and what remains the same.

Players who use Free Fire on an emulator or share their account with another person will lose the right to appear on the leaderboard starting August 1st. This change was confirmed by Garena in an official notice displayed within the game and only affects eligibility for the leaderboard — the rest of the gaming experience remains unchanged.
Where the confirmation came from
The announcement appeared in the news tab of Free Fire itself, within the "Notice" panel, with the title "Event Details" addressed to players. It is an official statement from Garena, without relying on leaks, data mining, or community sources.
What changes in the Free Fire ranking
According to the statement, two situations will disqualify players from competing for the ranking starting August 1st:
- Playing ranked matches using an emulator
- Sharing the account with another person
Garena will exclude from the ranking, starting August 1st, accounts that play on an emulator or are shared among players, without affecting the rest of the experience in Free Fire.
What remains the same
The notice clearly states that the change only impacts eligibility for the leaderboard. Those who fall into one of these situations are not banned or prevented from playing — they simply will not be part of the ranking competition.
Context: separation between emulator and mobile
The division between emulator players and mobile players in ranked mode is not new. Free Fire Mania has already shown how part of the community tried to circumvent this separation in ranked matches, a topic that gains significance again with the rule announced now for August.
Account sharing has been treated by Garena as an offense for years, usually associated with practices like elo boosting and account selling. Free Fire Mania has already explained the risks of using or sharing accounts obtained through irregular means, which reinforces why such accounts are now also excluded from the ranking.
