Free Fire July 2022 Update: OB35 update notes; see what changes
Garena's Battle Royale update takes place this Wednesday, July 20th at midnight
Free Fire , the most downloaded mobile game in the first quarter of 2022 with 71 million downloads, brings frequent updates to keep the game high and, as usual, the new Free Fire July 2022 update is coming, bringing new characters, pets , weapons, gameplay improvements and other features.
Now, Free Fire Mania , the largest independent Free Fire portal in the world with around 10 million monthly hits, exclusively discloses the notes with all the changes that are coming to Garena's Battle Royale. Also, the Free Fire July 2022 update , with the OB35 version, is named Free Fire 5th Anniversary Celebration !

User interface optimization

General appearance
Keeping the classic elements of Free Fire, it incorporates an elegant and lively design.
daily/weekly missions
Optimized the layout of the quests page, now the page will display today's treasure chest (new rewards) and the Elite Pass award, making it easier for players to navigate.
Characters
Miguel
Miguel can now activate his ability simply by knocking down an enemy.
“We understand that most players think that Miguel's skill is too difficult to activate. After this update, the skill can be triggered when knocking down an enemy, so you can use it with other recovery skills.”
Andrew
Adjusted the damage rate reduction value of vests.
“As we all know, vests are important during the search phases. In the past, after a wave of team fights, vests often lost their durability. We’ve adjusted Andrew’s ability to increase the durability of the vest protection.”
Antonio
“Antonio’s skill is only useful early in the game, so we’ve increased max health.”
The player will start the game with more bonus HP (max 40 HP).
Scoreboard skill details
“Skill information is a vital part, so we've added this information to the leaderboard so you know what active skills your teammates and enemies are equipping. This allows you to adjust your strategy based on the skills of your teammates and plan tactics.”
Safe zone adjustment
“We optimized the logic of the final safe zone update. Stop guessing that it will update in the center of the map. Enjoy the thrill and challenge of this fit.”
We have optimized the circle shrinkage logic in classic mode and improved the randomness of the final safe zone. During the game, players should also pay attention to changes in the safe zone.
Other Classic Mode Settings
- New Item: Super Medi Kit, restores 200 HP in 4 seconds.
- Reduced the amount of time it takes for damage to build up outside the safe zone.
gameplay
Smart Lance: Become a gel shield master!
“The gel wall has always been one of the core elements of Free Fire's gameplay, both professionally and in games in general. Accelerating the release of the gel will help novice players get to grips with the item more easily and quickly.”
Players can now activate gel casting in the settings menu (Smart Cast). Once activated, players can click the shield button to quickly place a gel in front of them.
In-game command wheel
Optimized the in-game command wheel to make the operation smoother.
“As Free Fire has more and more functions, players need to quickly operate different props and functions, such as quick messages, resources and help kits.”
Players can press and hold the "Use" button to launch the command wheel. The command wheel supports the following functions: quick message, resources and help kit.
Favorite character
Tag your favorite characters so they appear at the top of the menu.

- Optimized user experience when updating chips.
- Optimized the visual effects of icons affected by A124's skill.
- Teammates not on the minimap will be marked with the direction of their location.
- Optimized the display of the drone minimap.
- Ranked matches no longer support the “Force Exit” button in the settings menu.
- Ranked reconnect time: If a player accidentally disconnects due to a network issue or program crash, they will be reconnected the next time they log into the game.
- Map Comment Function: Post your opinion of the map and read comments from other players.

The Free Fire July 2022 update will go live this Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 1 am and players will not be able to access the game during this period as the server will be down. Maintenance is scheduled to end at 10am, when the server will be ready.
