If you are wondering when the Free Fire season ends, this guide provides the official and most up-to-date answer. Ranked Battle Royale seasons usually last around 70 days and follow a recurring schedule set by Garena.

At the end of each season, Free Fire performs a ranked reset, partially adjusting player ranks and starting a brand-new competitive cycle.

We are currently in the 50th Ranked Season of Free Fire Battle Royale, which started on January 1, 2026. According to Garena’s official schedule, the current Free Fire ranked season will end on May 1, 2026, during the early hours of the morning (GMT+5:30). There are 28 days, 9 hours and 18 minutes remaining until the end of the current Free Fire ranked season.

  • Start of the 50th Free Fire Season: January 1, 2026
  • End of the 50th Free Fire Season: May 1, 2026

It is important to note that although the season officially ends around 04:00 AM, the new season does not start immediately.

Ranked matches usually return at around 06:30 AM, creating a gap of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with no ranked games available.

During this period, players can still access the game normally, but ranked Battle Royale matches remain temporarily unavailable.

In most cases, there is no game update released on the same day the season ends. The system simply resets the rankings and begins the next season.

How Ranked Reset Works in the New Free Fire Season

At the end of each ranked season, Free Fire applies a partial rank reset. This means no player returns to the absolute starting rank, but everyone is demoted proportionally based on their previous performance.

In general, players who finish the season at higher ranks start the new season at a higher position compared to others.
