The update of the OB38 version for Free Fire is scheduled for the first half of January 2023, but the Advanced Server has already been released since December 23rd with new content that may be present in the final version of the APK.

The new Advanced Server brought many new features and adjustments that may or may not make it to the final version of OB38. Developers added a mystery character with teleport ability , a new Mandacaru pet named after northeastern Brazil, and several other in-game optimizations through the Advanced Server (December 2022).

The developers have added an adorable new character companion called Mandacaru , which players can see in the final version. The name of the skill of the new Pet Mandacaru Free Fire will be Self- Reliance and it will help players to restore EP .

Mandacaru FF 's Self-Reliance skill will take effect when a player remains immobile for eight seconds. Initially, they will receive 10 EP, which they can expand to 100 points. However, post the last mark, Mandacaru's effects will not work.

Check below how Pet Mandacaru's skill works in Free Fire :

  • Level 1 : recovers 10 EP per second when its owner is still for 8 seconds . EP recovery will stop when moving or after recovering 100 EP.
  • Level 2 : recovers 10 EP per second when its owner is still for 7 seconds . EP recovery will stop when moving or after recovering 100 EP.
  • Level 3 : recovers 10 EP per second when its owner is still for 6 seconds . EP recovery will stop when moving or after recovering 100 EP.

It is worth remembering that Mandacaru is a very common plant in the semi-arid region of the Northeast . Mandacaru comes from the tupi mãdaka'ru or iamanaka'ru, which means grouped and harmful thorns. In this way, Garena , through its developers, decided to honor the Brazilian northeast and named its new Pet after the plant.

Finally, it is worth remembering that the new Pet Mandacaru Free Fire is released for testing on the Advanced Server and the official version of the APK of Battle Royale by Garena should arrive in the January 2023 update.
