Free Fire: Garena confirms the arrival of two Barracões; see how it works
In Barracks, there is a chance to get tier 3 weapons and Barracks exclusive weapons
After the great success of the OB37 version, launched in November 2022, Garena is preparing to launch the first Free Fire update in 2023, with the OB38 version. The release date has been revealed and the developers have started teasing some new content that will be added to the game in the coming days.
From the preview, the update should cover all expected aspects and should make the game even more engaging for the ever-growing audience. New additions include changes to BR (Battle Royale) and CS (Contra Squad) modes along with various weapon balances for better gameplay.
Among the main changes in Battke Royale mode is the arrival of Barracks .

Time to get weapons! The Free Fire Barracks is a new location spread across the map that contains the best items in the game.
“If you find the blue zone loot area less challenging or valuable, then you should try the Barracks. The Shed contains quality weapons and items for you and your team. Many surprises are waiting for you!”

In the Barracks , there is a chance to get tier 3 weapons and Barracks exclusive weapons. Remember to bring your team!
Each map has between 5 and 6 Arsenals and their location can be seen on the minimap. While it's the best loot location in the game, a key is required to enter the Shed .
It is worth noting that there are 1-2 keys located in each main area of each map.
- Keys can be purchased from vending machines.
- Each key costs 600 FF Coins.
- There are only 3 keys in every vending machine per game, so hurry up!
- Keys can be purchased from Airdrop vending machines.
- Each key costs 400 FF Coins.
- Each Airdrop vending machine carries 1 key.
Finally, the Barracks will arrive at Free Fire in the next game update, scheduled to take place on January 11, 2023 .
