Garena Free Fire beat another record of active players with 80 million people daily in the world.
Sea Limited , the company that owns Garena , today released the balance sheet for the first quarter of 2020, placing Free Fire with another record , now there are 80 million active players , playing the game daily around the world.
According to the company, the increase in Free Fire players was due to the investment in championships and also the growth of communities. Sea Limited reported having organized twice as many online championships over the first quarter of 2019, which have accumulated 90 million views.
In addition to the record of active players, the company that owns Garena also revealed that Free Fire was the highest revenue game in Latin America and Southeast Asia in the first quarter of 2020, according to App Annie.
