The Garena announced the date, location and schedule of the 2022 edition of the World of Free Fire, Fire Free the World Series (FFWS). The Global event will take place from the 14th to the 21st of May in Sentosa, Singapore.

Overall, a total of 22 teams from 13 regions around the world will compete in this tournament. Check out the format and other details revealed about the event. In addition, Brazil will be entitled to two places in the championship, with the first place in the Brazilian Free Fire League ( LBFF ) 7 will be directly classified for the final and the second place will play the knockout phase on the 14th to try for a place in the final. end the following week.

FFWS Play-ins

A total of 12 teams from 12 different regions will compete in six rounds on May 14 to find the top two teams. These two best teams will advance to the finals, while the other ten will be eliminated.

The FFWS was organized for the first time in 2019 in Brazil. The prize pool of U$400,000 was won by Brazilian team Corinthians . In 2020 the Continental Series replaced it, but the FFWS came back again in 2021. This time it was won by the Thai team Phoenix Force (Evos Esports) in a convincing manner. The event reached 5.4 million peak viewers , a record for Esports.

Due to the second wave of Covid-19, teams from South Asia were barred from entering Singapore and competing in FFWS 2021. The second FFWS 2021 has also been canceled due to the ongoing pandemic.
