Free Fire and PUBG are two of the most prominent names in the Battle Royale gaming world. Despite their vast popularity, these games are often criticized for their impact on the minds of children and teenagers.

Many countries believe that BR (Battle Royale) games are violent and harmful to these young people. They also feel that they are distracting young people and affect their mental health.

It is worth remembering that in May 2021 Garena inaugurated a new server, exclusive to the Bangladeshi community. On the server's social networks, the last publication was made on August 16th and there is no official communication from those responsible for Free Fire.

A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Education and Home Affairs asked the Bangladeshi government to ban Free Fire and PUBG Mobile . The cause of the ban was the growing addiction to online games among teenagers.

To the disappointment of Battle Royale enthusiasts, Bangladesh's Supreme Court has asked authorities to ban "dangerous" online games and mobile apps, including Free Fire and PUBG .

PUBG and Free Fire are massive titles in Bangladesh

On June 19, 2021, Supreme Court lawyers Mohammad Humayun Kabir Pallab and Barrister Mohammad Kawser sent a legal notice asking the government to ban the games. After receiving no response from the concerned authorities, these lawyers, on behalf of the Law and Life Foundation, approached the country's Superior Court through a court petition.

The secretaries of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology were some of the respondents to the aforementioned petition.

The Bangladesh High Court has sent orders to the competent authorities to immediately ban all online games and mobile apps such as PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, Tik Tok, etc. , considering them " dangerous ".

The order to ban such requests was approved yesterday, on September 16, 2021, by the court of justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and by the judge Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah. According to NEWAGE Bangladesh, Bangladesh HC has already asked the chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission to ban the games for three months.
