Garena has fulfilled its promise to provide an enhanced Battle Royale experience with Free Fire MAX. The improved version of Free Fire has better graphics and animation, which most players can easily notice.

However, the increase in the quality of mechanics and graphics has also raised issues for mid-range Android phones . Free Fire is compatible and works without problems on most smartphones, while the MAX variant faced some FPS drops.

The main reason for the problem can be attributed to the high graphic settings being used. Therefore, adjusting the Free Fire Max graphic settings can help to get smoother gameplay on average Android phones.

Before adjusting graphics settings , players should make sure they have a stable Internet connection and no applications running in the background, as both reasons can cause frame drops and excessive delay issues.

Once you've ensured a stable Internet connection and free RAM, follow the steps below to make your adjustments:

Step 1 : Open the Free Fire Max app, tap the settings icon and players can see the different types of customizations available in Free Fire MAX.

Step 2 : Choose the graphic settings and note the default settings.

Step 3 : Players should make sure they have applied the following settings to their midrange cell phones:

  • Graphics - Smooth
  • high FPS - normal
  • Automatic size adjustment - Off

Smoothing the graphics settings will reduce the quality, while the Normal to High FPS option will lower the number of frames per second and minimize the chances of FPS drops . The other two settings are optional.

Step 4 : After making the adjustments, users can test the settings in a real game and see the difference.

Gamers should use the Ultra settings on Free Fire MAX when they have a smartphone with a Snapdragon 6 or higher processor and at least 3GB RAM. They can also look for an equivalent Mediatek processor.
