Free Fire: characters will not be "upgraded" with Gold from the April update, check it out!

Changes take effect from April 14, 2021 and the currency may be used for other purposes.

Gold is the main "free" currency of Free Fire. This is because it is the currency that can be obtained without using real money, just by performing activities in the game itself. Until then, Gold is used to buy several characters, raise their level and also buy some things in the store, but everything will change from the Free Fire April 2021 update.

In December 2019, Garena had already reduced the amount of Gold that was needed to "level up " a character, now the Free Fire distributor company has decided to completely remove the use of the coin to raise the levels of each of the 37 game characters.

In addition to Gold, players must have fragments of memories to increase the character's level.

How to "upgrade" a Free Fire character from the April 2021 update

With the changes, players will only need fragments of memories to "level" their characters, no amount of Gold will be needed to evolve the characters' abilities.

In total, 44,000 Gold coins were needed, that is, as of the April 2021 update, players will no longer shell out all that gold with rising character levels, as it will be free, with just fragments of memories from characters.

In short, as of April 14, 2021, players will no longer use Gold to update their characters , which will give them more opportunity to buy skill slots using the coin, without the need to use diamonds.
