Why was Fortnite banned?

Epic Games , a developer of Fortnite , tried to avoid the systems to pay commissions to the two mobile app stores.

All games must pay a 30% commission for all transactions performed by players within the Apps. For example, whenever you spend R $ 100 on diamonds, R $ 30 reais stays with the store (Google Play or Apple Store).

In short, the story goes like this: Epic launched a form of direct payments to Fortnite on iOS and Android to bypass the slice it needs to pay Apple and Google . Players who buy directly with it earn a 20% discount compared to those who buy through mobile stores.

In a statement, Apple released the following note: " Today, Epic Games made the unfortunate decision to break the App Store rules, which apply to all developers and are designed to keep the store safe for our users ."

Epic has yet to comment on the ban on Android . Regarding the fight with Apple , the producer decided to sue the giant. In the lawsuit, she accuses the iPhone owner of "unfair and anti-competitive practices" to maintain a monopoly on app distribution and payment processing through iOS .
